The Centre for Information and Telecommunication Engineering [CITE] was established by the Senate of the University of Port Harcourt on January 29, 2014 to train high- level skilled manpower for ICT , Automation and Telecommunications based Industries through a University-Industry based collaborative Post- graduate Programmes.

Mode of Programme:


a) Full-Time Programme: a minimum of 24 calender months and a maximum of 60 calender months.
b) Part-Time Programme: a minimum of 36 calender months and maximum of 84 calender months.

  • Admission Requirements:

    A master degree with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50 on a scale of 5.00 in any of the following engineering fields: Electrical, Electronic, Electrical/Electronic, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Communication, Telecommunications or any related field. The candidates must also have five O’level credit passes including English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

    2. Interview to be held at 10 am, Thursday, November 19, 2020.
